Joelle Anderson

Joelle Anderson is a mom of two, a dance teacher, and an independent author who believes the best stories are the ones that make children giggle and ask, “Can we read it again?”

Her books are designed to spark laughter, nurture confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

Born in Newfoundland and raised in Alberta, Joelle grew up in a home filled with humor, creativity, and imagination. She spent over twenty years immersed in the professional dance world; teaching, choreographing, and running her own studio, while crafting unique storylines for her productions.

It was motherhood, however, that truly ignited her passion for writing children’s books. After years of inventing bedtime adventures about Piggy and Cow for her daughter, and reading countless stories to both her children, Joelle finally brought her own characters to life.

The Piggy and Friends series was created during late nights after bedtime, written on a pink computer and powered by tea and imagination.

She now lives in Alberta with her family and loves connecting with readers of all ages.

BOOKS BY JOELLE ANDERSON

Piggy and Friends series

Piggy tries her best to get everything right but things don’t always go as planned. Luckily she has good friends that teach her to see the fun amongst the mistakes.

Perfect for ages 3-6, or any age, these books have chaos, giggles, friendship and often a gentle life lesson.

The first book, Piggy’s Perfect Pancake, was written as a one-off project for her daughter to bring to life the characters Piggy and Cow from their numerous bed time stories. But, Joelle found she couldn’t resist writing more books for the series. Especially after her daughter asked “can I read the next one?” as soon as she finished reading the first.
